Vinyl Banners Make Sweet Music
June, July and August are, in my book, the best months of the year to see a great outdoor concert. Seeing a concert in the summertime is great because the shows are usually outside, which is much more fun, at least in my opinion, than seeing a show inside a coliseum of arena. Hearing my favorite songs and hanging out with a big group of friends are the two best aspects of summer concerts. I can control whether or not I go to a show with friends; I cannot, however, control which songs the band chooses to play. I've been to a lot of concerts over the years, and I can honestly say that there is never any guarantee at any show that you will hear your favorite song. It comes down to having a positive, optimistic attitude and a little bit of luck. Keep reading to learn about three ways of increasing your chances of hearing your favorite tune at a show. Remember, these are just suggestions and are by no means guarantees.
CARRY ALONG A VINYL BANNER
So often when I go to concerts I see innocent children and eager teenagers holding up poster boards on which are written the names of the songs they want to hear. In my opinion, poster board just isn't enough to get a band's attention. For the concerts that I have attended this summer, I have been bringing with me a large custom banner with the words of my favorite songs written in bold, shiny lettering. Vinyl banners are perfect for concerts because they're light, they roll up easily and they're waterproof. This means that even during those nasty summer rainstorms, when poster-boards disintegrate at the hands of the falling water, a custom vinyl banner is still able to notify the band of your song request.
ATTACH YOUR CUSTOM BANNER TO LONG POLES ON EACH END
Custom banners don't serve much purpose unless they are high enough in the air for the band to see them. Thus, you need to get creative if you want the band to see your vinyl banner. Lucky for you, I have a solution. Just include sleeve pockets on either end of the vinyl banner. These pockets are important because they allow you to attach long plastic poles to the custom banner which you can then use to hold the vinyl banner high up in the sky. This eliminates your height (or lack thereof) from playing a factor in whether or not you get to hear your favorite song.
MAKE YOUR BANNER BRIGHT AND FLASHY
I have found that using wild and crazy colors and lettering gives me a better shot at getting the band's attention. After all, you have to do everything you can to get the band's attention. I once did such a good job with my that the lead singer called me out and congratulated me on my vinyl banner design. The band then played my favorite song, which I will remember for the rest of my life!
THE BEST OF LUCK TO YOU
So there you have them, my three recommendations for ways to get your favorite song played at a concert. These suggestions may not work, but they will definitely improve your odds. Now get out there and go to as many concerts as you can, and don't forget your !
