Getting the Most Sign Exposure Per Gallon

Here at BestBuySigns, I am constantly looking for innovative ways to help you get better mileage for your advertising. Speaking of which, how often do you drive your car? If you're like the average American, you're traveling about 15,000 miles a year.

Why not put those miles to work for you by advertising your business on your car?

I am sure you've seen advertising on vehicles before. It is actually a simple recipe, and with the right ingredients you get a vehicle with a gourmet look for the cost of a home-cooked meal.

How do you want to use your car sign? Will you want to move it between vehicles? If so, consider magnetic signs. Unlike signs of the past, advances in material will no longer harm your paintjob. Scratch*Guard Magnetics Signs are my preferred ingredient because they don't scratch the paint or cause rust spots.

If you don't apply them properly, your magnetic sign will fly off, just like flour flying out of the mixer. Apply to a smooth surface so air can't flow under the sign. And if you're had an accident or two and your car has too much plastic body filler (like Bondo), then the signs won't stick well either.

If you're looking for a more permanent form of vehicle advertising, consider vinyl lettering. This semi-permanent solution is easy to apply and can be used on any surface of your vehicle. The lettering can last 7 to 10 years and can be removed if you want to sell the vehicle or if you simply do not want the graphics on it anymore.

When you buy vinyl lettering, be sure to request high-performance vinyl. It lasts several times longer than the intermediate level of vinyl, and the small additional cost easily pays itself off and more.

Installing it is as simple as boiling a pot of water. Our letters and graphics come as 1 large sheet with everything already in its place. All you have to do is:

  1. Pre-position the sheet where you want the vinyl to be applied
  2. Peel back the under-coating to expose the sticky side of the vinyl
  3. Use a plastic putty knife to smooth on the vinyl graphics and letters
  4. Remove top sheet and see the great results!

If you can't boil water, no worries! We can still help you. As we offer a Goof-Proof Guarantee!

Happy travels!
